Smarkets bonus type

The Smarkets voucher code that’s up for grabs is designed to be used by new members for one time only. Although it’s a reasonable offer, there are several other providers that offer more in terms of a welcome bonus – and more in terms of promotions in general.  However, the fact that the Smarkets commission rate is so low at 2% means that you get a good deal with every bet, instead of a lot of promotions alongside more expensive wagers. If you’re looking for a provider that offers consistently good value along with a reasonable welcome bonus, Smarkets is the right choice.

Smarkets voucher amount

The Smarkets bonus code is worth a total of £10. That £10 is for use on any sporting or political event that is covered by Smarkets, of which there is a wide range of choice. You can get larger bonuses from other providers, many of whom offer deposit matches and no deposit bets in some cases – so if you’re looking for loads of free cash to bet with, Smarkets isn’t necessarily the right choice for you. If, however, you’re after a good deal with every bet with low commission rather than a lot of promotions that are almost always too good to be true – choose Smarkets and grab the £10 welcome bonus.

Smarkets bonus code terms and conditions

If you’re thinking of taking advantage of this offer, you’ll need to know all the details of Smarkets bonus terms. Firstly, it’s worth bearing in mind that this is not a Smarkets bonus without deposit – you are going to have to invest some of your own cash to be able to activate it. In order to be eligible for your Smarkets voucher, you’ll need to set up an account as a new member and make an initial deposit of at least £20. £20 is the minimum amount that you can put into your new account in order to qualify for the bonus.

How long is the bonus available for?

To be able to withdraw your bonus funds, you must bet at least the qualifying deposit on any combination of markets within the promotional period. If you don’t do this, you will lose the cash in your Smarkets account. Your bonus is available for use for up to three months, which compares well with other bookmakers. Many other providers offer a much shorter time period for using their welcome offer – in many cases this can be as little as seven days. Three months is much more generous, and allows you ample time to make the most of your free bet.

Who can use the Smarkets bonus?

Your qualifying deposit must be made either by card or bank transfer, and the bonus is only available to new members. The offer is limited to one per individual, family, household address, email address, same payment account number and shared computer. This is fairly standard in comparison with bonuses offered by other providers – and is to be expected for promotions and free bets in general.

How to get your free bet bonus with Smarkets

Our Smarkets test would not be complete without specific details on exactly what you have to do to get hold of your bonus. The first step is signing up as a new member. This is a very easy process due to the fact that only basic details are required. Unlike some other providers, who ask you to fill in pages of information about yourself until you’ve given up on the idea of placing a bet altogether, Smarkets keeps it nice and simple.

You’ll find a link for signing up as a new member on the Smarkets home page. At the top right-hand corner, there is a tab that says ‘create account’. Simply click on that, and you’ll be taken to the registration page. Then, you need to fill in the general basic details. The information you will need to provide includes the following: email address, date of birth, and country of residence.

You’ll also need to create a password for your account, and fill this in twice for confirmation purposes. You are given the opportunity to select the currency that you’d like to use for placing your bets, which isn’t always an option with some other bookmakers.

After filling in your basic details and creating your password, you then need to tick a box that states that you have agreed to the terms and conditions and privacy policy stipulated by Smarkets. You have the option to subscribe to the Smarkets monthly newsletter too, which is a nice little added extra for keeping up to date with everything that is going on.

To qualify for your bonus, you need to put some money into your new account. You must do this via card or bank transfer, other options will not be accepted for the purposes of the welcome offer. You should make a deposit of at least £20 for your first transaction. After you have done this, use your £20 to bet on any markets that take your fancy. When you experience your first loss, or the first bet that fails to return a profit, your account will then be credited with £10 as compensation.

To find out how much of your bonus you have remaining in your Smarkets account, click on ‘additional details’ on the account summary page. You can use your £10 free bet on any game or event of your choosing. The options include: in-play; horse racing; football; tennis; baseball; basketball; cricket; golf; handball; ice hockey; motorsports; rugby; rugby league; volleyball; and UK and world politics.

Payability

05 Payability

Payability: how easy is it to make deposits and take money out?

In terms of sports betting deposits and withdrawals, Smarkets has a reasonable number of payment options. You can choose any of the following: Visa debit or credit card; Solo/Maestro card; Mastercard/Eurocard; Neteller; Skrill; or bank transfer. We like the fact that funding your account via bank transfer is an option, as not all bookmakers offer this. Totesports, for example, do not facilitate bank transfers for making deposits or withdrawing payouts.

For making deposits, Visa debit card, Solo/Maestro card, Neteller, Skrill and bank transfer are all free to use. If you choose to use Visa credit card or Mastercard/Eurocard, you will be charged at a rate of 2.5% for putting money into your Smarkets account. All transactions will allow you to credit your account instantly, with the exception of the bank transfer option. Putting cash into your account via bank transfer takes between three and five business days – which may not be the best option if you’re really keen to get started.

The minimum amount that you can put into your account for a deposit is £10 for all methods, apart from Neteller. For this payment method, you need to put in at least £20 each time. For both Neteller and Skrill, the most you can put into your account in one day is £5K – which is fairly reasonable. If however, you’re a bit of a high roller and plan to invest much more than that, these payment options aren’t going to be the best fit for you.

When it comes to taking money out of your Smarkets account, we are pleased to report that all withdrawals are fee free – with bank transfers being the only exception. Putting your winnings into your bank account will come at a cost of £10. Withdrawals using your Visa debit card, Solo/Maestro card, Visa credit card or Mastercard/Eurocard will take between one and six working days. Transferring money from your Smarkets account to your Neteller or Skrill will take between one and two working days. A bank transfer withdrawal will take between five and ten working days.

The minimum amount that you need to have in your Smarkets account to be able to make a withdrawal is £10. If you’re using Mastercard/Eurocard or Solo/Maestro card, the maximum you can take out is linked to how much you have put in as a deposit. For all the other payment methods, there is no limit to how much you can take out in one transaction – which is great news if you’re a savvy bettor who keeps the cash rolling in!

Smarkets recommends that its members use a Visa debit card for making deposits and for taking money out – and emphasises that this is an instant option that costs nothing for members, as well as featuring unlimited withdrawals as standard.

Here is your step by step guide to making a deposit in your new Smarkets account:

  1. Select the deposit tab from the top of the page
  2. In the deposit section, choose your payment method from the following options: credit or debit card, Neteller, Skrill or bank transfer.
  3. Put in the information that is requested, including how much you want to transfer into your account. Remember that this should be at least £20 if you want to qualify for the bonus.
  4. Having entered your deposit amount, you will then be transferred to the payment page of your chosen provider. Once the payment is completed, you will be taken back to the Smarkets site. You don’t need to do anything at this point, as the site completes these actions automatically.

Deposit limit

As part of its commitment to responsible gambling, Smarkets offers the option of setting a deposit limit. You can choose any amount, and you can set limits that apply daily, weekly or monthly. This is a good way of managing your betting, so that you can focus on enjoying the process knowing that your finances are secu

There are no other bonuses or loyalty programmes to note with Smarkets. We feel this is an area where Smarkets lets itself down.
